Abstract:
The study cantered on assessing Competitive Tendering in Reducing Procurement cost in
Public Entities. Specifically, the study tried to look at the benefits of Competitive Tendering.
It also studied the contribution of competitive Tendering in Reducing the procurement cost
so as to understand in which ways and how cost can be reduced through Competitive
Tendering. Lastly attempted to find out the challenges facing the Procuring entity on
implementing competitive Tendering. Moshi Municipal Council was taken as case study
