dc.description.abstract The savings and credit co-operative movement is the second critical co-operative organization in Africa after agricultural marketing. Although there is a history of other types of co-operatives in East Africa countries such as industrial, consumer and others, the savings and credit co-operative organization has both the push and pull characteristics of the rest of the cooperative movement in Africa, because, they facilitate both the inputs and outputs of all other cooperatives. en_US
